I just moved to Galveston a few months ago and I am missing the foodie markets of Houston Texas. I have been looking for shops and markets to find some decent produce, fish and meat, but it is proving difficult. Most of the stuff that makes it to the market here is pretty disappointing.So far we have found a few cafes that do some nice salads, soups and fish dishes. Texas Beaches

Ike is long gone, things are getting back to order. The streets are busy again, the coffee roasters are giving the stone streets a pleasant odor, and the horse and buggies are out taking tourists on historic tours. I have spent my time between my research and taking care of my family with looking for things to appreciate about this city. Galveston is a rough place to move for someone who has had everything so accessible and less than a mile away.
